Ms. Atkinson, School Counselor for Last Names: A-K
Hi! I am a Licensed School Counselor. I began my career by earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. After that I went on to graduate school at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, where I earned my Master's of Education in School Counseling.
Before coming to Talmadge Middle School, I was the Freshmen/Sophomore counselor at Henley High School in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
I grew up in a small town right on the beach called Waldport, Oregon and I've lived in Oregon all my life. In my free time I loves to read, go camping, hang out with my family and friends, and cheer for University of Oregon sports...GO DUCKS!! I am really excited to start my 3rd year at Talmadge and I'm looking forward to another great year!

Mrs. Watkins, School Counselor for Last Names: L-Z
I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and now live here in Monmouth. I attended Western Oregon University for 2 years and then finished up my Bachelor’s degree at Portland State University. I got my Master’s degree from Lewis and Clark College. I have been a school counselor for 5 years.
This is my first year here at Talmadge Middle School. I am really excited about living and counseling in the Monmouth/Independence community. I married the love of my life Adam and we have five children (4 sons and 1 daughter) ages 20, 18, 13, 11, and 7 and they attend school and play sports in the Central School District.
In my free time I like to hang out with my family, watch movies, read books, go to Disneyland and cheer on the Oregon Ducks and Miami Dolphins.
